Nagami Design protect medical staff from coronavirus with launch of 3D-printed face shield

Nagami Design is a design house stepping in to assist where possible to save lives due to the coronavirus outbreak.  Nagami Design have created a Covid-19 mask consisting of a visor worn across the forehead which is secured by elastic behind the ears. The mask is created when a clear plastic film is fastened to a second band in the visor, forming a protective shield.

Founded by Manuel Jimenez García, Miki Jimenez García and Ignacio Viguera Ochoa and based from an area hit badly through the coronavirus outbreak in Madrid, Spain. Face shields have already been donated to Hospital Provincial de Ávila, which is close to their factory, following this with plans to assist hospitals in Madrid and local regions in northern Spain.

Globally medical staff are in short supply of PPE (Personal protective equipment). Individuals without the appropriate protective wear have increased exposure to the coronavirus and are more likely due to an increased viral load to suffer more severe forms of the illness.
