2019 Spotlight: Trunk (House) finds home in Kagurazaka

Trunk (House) is the newest addition to the Trunk luxury hotel takeover that Tokyoites have been witnessing over the past few years. The Trunk hotel concept has successfully crawled into the 70-year-old former ryotei and emerged out as a one-room boutique hotel, able to cater to 4 guests or privately to host up to 30 people for cocktails or buffet-style parties.

Trunk (House) provides guests with a perfect juxtaposition of Japanese design, with contemporary and traditional styles throughout the building. Guests are able to immerse themselves in ofuro (Japanese traditional bath) with artwork by modern Ukiyo-e artist Masumi Ishikawa.
